SPOTS Guidelines for Calibration and Evaluation of Optical Strain Measurement Systems

The document is in two parts: Part I describes the design and use of a reference material that can be used for the calibration of optical systems for strain measurement. Part II of the same document describes the design and methodology for use of two standardised tests for the evaluation of the performance of optical systems for measuring strain.

The complete document including Appendices can be downloaded here. A printed booklet containing both parts excluding the Appendices is available free from the project co-ordinator.
